选择碰撞思想，辩论点燃激情——华大教育中心第二期英语角圆满落幕

3月27日，华大教育中心第二期英语角在热烈互动与思维交锋中圆满落幕。本期以《English Adventure: Choose, Play, Debate》为主题，创新采用“1名国际生+1名国内学生”共同策划、担任主持人的模式，既增强了国际生的参与感，也营造了纯粹的英语氛围，吸引20余名国内外学生与公司员工踊跃参与。

01 开场破冰：以故事为引，拉近距离

活动在两位主持人的默契配合下开启，以史蒂夫·乔布斯“从车库到苹果”的短故事切入，传递出“学英语不怕试错，敢于开口就是胜利”的理念。破冰环节中，大家用一句话分享每日开心事，简单的表达打破陌生感，为后续互动奠定了轻松融洽的氛围。

02 四轮游戏：在互动中练表达，在交锋中促思考

四轮精心设计的游戏层层递进，让参与者沉浸式练习英语表达。《Find Someone Who》环节中，大家走动交流，在十分钟内用英语寻找符合条件的伙伴，既练口语又结新友；《Two Lies, One Truth》环节里，每人用三句英语介绍自己（两真一假），组员共同猜测，进一步加深彼此了解。

《This or That》环节点燃辩论火花，大家围绕“游戏与短视频”“高薪挑战与稳定低薪”等贴近生活的话题，用英语阐述立场、展开交锋；《Survival Scenario》环节将氛围推向高潮，各组在“荒岛求生”设定下，筛选5件必备物资并用地道英语阐述理由，展示后还展开攻防辩论，此时英语成为思维交锋与沟通的桥梁。

03 收获与展望：以语言为媒，赴下一场相遇

本次英语角，不仅是一次单纯的语言练习，更是一场敢说敢辩、乐于交流的成长体验。活动全程不追求完美的发音和严谨的语法，鼓励每一位参与者大胆开口、认真倾听、真诚交流。只要敢说，就是一种胜利；只要交流，就有收获。

华大教育中心将继续深耕多文化交流与英语学习推广，不断优化活动形式、创新活动内容，推出更多有趣、有料的英语角活动，为想练英语、想交朋友、想感受多元文化的华大学子，搭建一个轻松自在、平等交流的平台。

The English Corner was a great opportunity to practice English and make friends, regardless of skill level. The activities were well designed to be fun and inclusive—shy students could express themselves in smaller groups, while others practiced public speaking. Although I’m an introvert, the friendly atmosphere made me talk perhaps too much. The only issue was the timing, which conflicted with some students’ schedules. I also enjoyed trying new Chinese snacks and winning small prizes. I’m truly thankful to the organizers—the BGI College events are among my favorite memories from China.

Participating in the English Adventure was a heartwarming experience that turned strangers into friends, connecting people from different backgrounds through simple, joyful moments. What touched me most was how a shared smile or a laugh over a small mistake created real connections, reminding me that joy is a universal language. Activities like "Free Team-up" and "2 Lies, 1 Truth" were fun and engaging—I managed to trick everyone by claiming I’d never broken a bone, even though my front tooth is actually broken. This event was the perfect blend of fun and learning, proving that language is a powerful bridge for sharing stories.

Overall a positive experience. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to practice speaking English.  The activities were beginner-friendly, no need for perfect English. The debate session was very interesting, everybody was on fire. Definitely joining again, looking forward to the next one!

Leading the English Corner helped me discover my true self in an unfamiliar situation. I used strategic communication to engage a diverse group, starting with the theme “My Passion, My Life” and sharing Steve Jobs’ story. When debates turned chaotic, I used humor to ease tensions and create a joyful, shared space. Through planning and real-time observation, I learned that informality and nonjudgmental connection bring out the best in people. This experience deepened my communication and people skills, reflecting the growth mindset I will bring to the Youth World Summit—where diverse actions foster inclusive dialogue and turn innovative ideas into collaborative initiatives that benefit both the collective and the individual.

从本科到研究生，这是我第一次参加这种英语角形式的活动。刚一开始走进教室，我还感到有些拘谨。但很快，组织的同学们热情地给我递来零食和饮料，给我讲解游戏规则，让我迅速融入集体。在活动的过程中，我们进行了许多游戏，通过组内的合作以及组间的探讨，我很快和身边的外国朋友们聊到一起。尽管磕磕巴巴，但我总算迈出了“张嘴表达 ”的一大步。这次的活动对我而言非常有意义，不仅锻炼了自己的口语，也收获了外国朋友的友谊，希望下次的活动我也不要缺席。
